What's the best software now?

After decades of using TurboTax, I'm sticking with what I know. But I came across a comprehensive review on 20 Something Finance comparing the cheapest and best tax prep software for 2025. If you're shopping around, it's worth a read. What do you all use these days?

Man, I ditched turbo tax the second they started playing games with the pricing tiers and hiding the free file option, like they've turned into upsell central. I've been using freetaxUSA for the last few years, lets me file without babysitting a dozen popups
If that review calls TurboTax the best, I'd take it with a whole shaker of salt

Yeah, guys. I stuck with TurboTax this year out of convenience, but honestly, FreeTaxUSA is looking real tempting for next time. It looks like a way cheaper option. It might be time for me to make the jump.

I can relate! I've stuck with TurboTax for so long just because it's what I know, but last year I decided to give FreeTaxUSA a try for a side project's taxes. Honestly, it was straightforward and the cost difference was really appealing. No unnecessary features or annoying pop-ups. I'm considering making the switch completely next year. By the way, has anyone tested out Cash App Taxes yet?
